GT-100 — Genuinely Handheld

The GT-100 was designed from the beginning as a genuinely handheld wedge welder. It eliminates the powered feed and drive mechanism used by traveling machines while preserving the heat, pressure, control, and flexibility required for demanding industrial work.

  • No powered drive train, gears, belts, chains, or motorized feed rollers are required for welding motion
  • No drive-system jams and no production downtime for clearing drive/feed jams
  • Production, fabrication, field work, maintenance, repair, patching, straps, reinforcements, edges, and detail work
  • The GT-100 can also weld dissimilar flexible materials together when both materials can be heat welded
  • Different material weights and thicknesses with application-specific settings

Integrated BPR

GT-200 — Application-Specific Integration

The GT-200 is the integrated GT configuration for compatible nonwoven textile materials. A wheel-mounted walk-behind system is one implementation—not the definition of the product.

Integrated BPR Is Not Limited to the GT-200

The GT-200 is specific to compatible nonwoven textile applications. Other integrated GT systems can be engineered for HDPE geomembranes, vinyls, other heavier heat-weldable plastics, production-line welding, specialized material handling, seam tracking, split-wedge pressure-verification channels, controls, and tooling.

GT-500 / Rover

The GT-500, also known as Rover, was a BPR design built as a considerably more complicated automatic/heavier portable system. Experience with that approach showed that many applications could be performed faster, more efficiently, and at substantially lower equipment cost with the much simpler genuinely handheld GT-100.

The engineering progression was simplification and refinement—not a change from one welding technology to another. GT-500, GT-100, and GT-200 all used BPR.
